RUSSIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL

June 2008

The Daily News, the Russian American Foundation, the City of NY, and Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg continue to join forces in the 5th Annual Russian Heritage Festival.

The 6th annual Russian Heritage festival continues the exciting and important tradition of celebrating the New York community of émigrés from the Former Soviet Union. The community has grown to be over one million strong in the tri-state area. The month-long celebration of the arts and culture in the area's vast and vibrant Russian-speaking community will take place throughout the month of June in New York City. The Russian Heritage Festival - the only event of its kind in the U.S. - routinely attracts over 200,000 people to its presentation of contemporary and traditional music and dance performances, art exhibitions, health and sports fairs, business expos, and other events.
