FILM FESTIVAL

The Russian American Foundation, Forest City Ratner Companies and the Daily News in association with the Moscow International Film Festival proudly present Films Under the Stars, a unique showcasing of the very best movies from around the world.

Screenings along the boardwalk create a theatre under the stars for Brooklyn audiences, bringing together the community for unforgettable evenings of world-class cinema.  The Festival debuted this summer at Asser Levy Park with the U.S. premiere of the internationally acclaimed film, “Kerchiefs”, directed by Yuriy Pavlov and written by Valery Zalotukha.  “Kerchiefs” is the heartwarming story of a young Russian-American’s search for his identity in the provincial town of Pavlosk, where he travels to research his one true passion- kerchiefs.  The film delivers a poignant message about the timeless power of love, loyalty and heartache.  “Kerchiefs” stars Ekaterina Guseva, Igor Botvin and Matthew Reins.
